Dear Participants,
As the General Chair of ICRA2024, it gives me great pleasure to extend my profound gratitude to all who participated. With the conclusion of the conference, we can now reflect on the extraordinary success we achieved throughout our exciting week together in Yokohama. Your dedication, passion, and contributions were instrumental in making this possible.
I am profoundly grateful to all participants. Aligned with our conference theme, “CONNECT+,” we achieved a record attendance of 7,000 individuals, both in-person and online. Your relentless efforts to advance research and development in our research fields, establish new directions, demonstrate robots, share knowledge, and foster collaborations have been truly inspiring. High-quality discussions, active involvement, and significant contributions from all of you have greatly enhanced the impact and importance of ICRA2024.
I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to our valued partners for their unwavering support and contributions – key elements in making ICRA2024 a resounding achievement. Your invaluable insights, resources, and expertise greatly facilitated the dissemination of knowledge, the translation of research, and the implementation of technology. We are sincerely grateful for your outstanding commitment.
As the host organizer, I hope you enjoyed your time in Yokohama, experiencing both the cultural events at the conference and the rich Japanese culture in the city. These experiences, alongside the insights gained at ICRA2024, are sure to leave a lasting impression. The 2024 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA2024) is the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society’s flagship conference. The conference will be held from May 13th to 17th, 2024, in Yokohama, Japan. This year’s conference theme is “CONNECT+,” reflecting the conference’s aim of helping to build relationships and potential collaborations with participants within and outside their field of study. The port city of Yokohama is the symbol of Japan’s opening to the outside world, and ICRA 2024 will become the symbol of Robotics’ opening to the new society with many other fields. ICRA brings together robotics researchers, students and industrial partners from around the world to discuss the latest innovations and breakthroughs, highlighting the role of robotics and automation in addressing global challenges. ICRA 2024 will include plenary and keynote sessions, contributed paper sessions, workshops and tutorial sessions, forums, expo and exhibitions from our corporate partners, robot competitions and numerous social events.
